Most of our work since 2001 has been in the
infrared building sciences and infrared electrical inspections end
of thermography, consisting of IR evaluations of commercial building
envelope systems, commercial roofing surveys and commercial building
electrical systems inspections. We also do electrical and mechanical
IR inspections for predictive maintenance purposes, and in two states
we service light manufacturing companies requiring infrared electrical
inspections for insurance purposes. We have done speedboat hull inspections
for water integrity problems dealing with litigation issues and we
have preformed nighttime IR evaluations for the Boston and Baltimore
housing authorities doing heat loss surveys on their buildings and
steam plants.
A recent infrared evaluation of a large estate located
on the Canadian border consisted of a small plane trip and a two hour
drive in a snowstorm. Overall most of our travel has been on east
coast projects. We concentrate our marketing towards the New England
infrared market as much as possible but will work wherever good infrared
is needed. One of the quickest growing areas we see requesting infrared
work is in residential inspections. We are getting more and more inquiries
for them and we completed a nationally certified home inspection course
for additional credibility with our residential infrared evaluations.
And, we have recently completed a course in Jacksonville, FL in applying
infrared thermography to marine surveying. At Sawyer Infrared our
goal is to provide you with the best personal attention and infrared
expertise necessary to successfully evaluate and assess your infrared
project.
We advertise in The Blue Book of Building and Construction actively
bidding on infrared projects and in marketing for your IR work.
Here are three larger, more recent IR projects:
Teradyne – multi-factory building envelope evaluations and
roofing surveys.
USCG Boston – facility building envelope evaluations, roofing
surveys on Cape Cod.
Bristol-Meyer Squibb – company complex multi-facility building
envelope and roofing evaluations.
